If you’re a grown man with a beard and a mustache, this article might make you think twice about getting an edgy, edgy haircut.
You might get one if your haircut isn’t edgy enough.
Edging it is a tricky business, especially for men who don’t have a beard.
But a new meme makes it seem as though an edging the edgar is possible, with self-styled artist Edgar W. Kelly doing it for his beard-less self.
“If I’m not edging it, what I’m doing is self-destructive,” Kelly told The Associated Press on Wednesday.
“I feel like I’m dying out.
I’m getting old.”
He said the meme started as a joke and he got it into the public eye because of his self-deprecating style.
“That’s what people see in my Instagram,” Kelly said.
“They see a dude who can do an edgeless hair cut.”
Kelly said he’s been receiving death threats from his neighbors.
The meme’s creator, known only as @EdgarW, has also been called a racist, an asshole and an assholehole.
He was arrested and charged with misdemeanor disorderly conduct in October after he was arrested for making a threat.
His lawyer, David Blau, told The Washington Post that the meme was made by Kelly’s wife and that the photo was not taken by him.
Blau said the picture was shared on Instagram in February and was taken by a friend.
“She made the meme and it’s all her,” Blau told The Post.
“It’s not a picture taken in her house.”
Kelly, who is white, has made it clear that he doesn’t want to be associated with the meme.
“This is not a meme that I want to see associated with me or my family, and I hope that this never happens again,” Kelly tweeted.
He added that he will not be taking the meme down.
He said he hopes to get a tattoo.
“A lot of people like the idea of me being a tattoo artist and getting a beard,” Kelly wrote on Instagram.
“However, this is something that is meant for me as a man, not as a meme.
And I know that if I want it, I can get it.”
